Job Description
4-year BS (CS/IT), MCS/MIT or equivalent qualification.(Additional Qualification will be a plus)
At least 2 Years’ experience of designing, implementing and maintaining complex networks; capability to
handle firewalls, routers, switches and other LAN/WAN equipment
Minimum two(2) years’ experience in Windows and/or Linux server administration
Minimum two(2) years’ experience with VMware virtualization technology (vSphere ,vCenter, HyperV)
Minimum two(2) years’ experience configuring, troubleshooting and monitoring SAN and NAS storage
technologies
Excellent RDBMS knowledge and experience (PostgreSQL is preferred over MySQL)
Very comfortable with anyone of CVS, SVN or GIT
Hands on experience of DNS, DHCP,TCP/IP, VPN, Domain Environment, Firewalls, Routers, Cache/Proxies,
NAT, Open Source Based email servers like Qmail, Sendmail, Postfix and Exim.
Solid knowledge of internet protocols such as POP, IMAP, SMTP, SSH, FTP, SFTP, HTTP and HTTPS.
Fluent in English and good verbal and written communication skills
Following skills are considered bonus:
Followed Agile Methodology as a software development process following continuous integration
programming, particularly SCRUM
Familiar with task and/or issue tracking tools (especially, JIRA)
Experience in a fast-paced customer service/support environment with a hosting company or similar
business.
VMware VCP certification, CCNA, MCSE
Experience in TCP/IP, Routing and Firewall management
Experience with VMware vCloud Director, VMware vShield family (vShield App, Edge and Manager)
Job Specification
Deployment of code updates on test/ live servers
Building and upgrading host servers, configuring SAN/NAS storage, and assist in setup of networking and
firewalls for cloud infrastructure
Develop and manage backup and restoration activities for disaster recovery strategy for all of the databases
Configure & manage Network Switches, Wireless Routers, Structured Cabling, File sharing at Server/Client
setup
Routine backups of server and computers connected over the network..
Troubleshoot problems reported for LAN, WAN, personal computers, networking equipment (switches,
routers, etc.)
Project code base management
Assist system administrators by taking the responsibility of delegated tasks and assignments
