We are looking for a skilled HR Specialist who will recruit, support and develop talent through developing policies and managing procedures. You will be responsible for administrative tasks and you’ll contribute to making the company a better place to work.
Your primary duty in this role is the facilitation of new hires for the company. This includes screening, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. You will also assist with employee relations, performance management, and talent management. You are to represent both the employee and the organization.
To excel in this role, you must be highly organized, and dedicated, and must be familiar with local, state, and federal regulations for HR.
The goal will be to provide excellent assistance and support to employees and managers.
HR Initiative and System Development: The HR specialist should possess the ability to support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems. This requires a strategic mindset and the capability to drive change within the organization.
Policy and Procedure Counseling: An HR specialist should be skilled in providing counseling to employees on HR policies and procedures, demonstrating a clear understanding of these guidelines.
Recruitment Expertise: Proficiency in recruitment processes, including the preparation of job descriptions, job postings, and managing the entire hiring process, is essential.
Onboarding: The HR specialist should be capable of creating and implementing effective onboarding plans to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Training and Development: The ability to design and implement training and development programs is crucial for enhancing employee skills and performance.
Performance Management: Proficiency in assisting with performance management processes, including performance appraisals and feedback, is required.
Employee Relations: Demonstrated skills in supporting the management of disciplinary and grievance issues, fostering positive employee relations, and resolving conflicts effectively.
Record Management: The HR specialist should have experience in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including attendance and EEO data, while ensuring compliance with policy and legal requirements.
Legal Compliance: Knowledge of employment law, compensation practices, organization planning, and labor laws is essential to ensure legal compliance in all HR activities.
HRIS and Technology: Proficiency in using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and database management, is required to efficiently manage HR data and processes.
Metrics and Analytics: Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics and the ability to analyze data to make informed HR decisions.
Night Shift Availability: As indicated in the qualifications, the HR specialist must be willing and able to perform night shifts as required by the organization.
