Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Full life-cycle project activities, from Analysis ---> Design ---> Implementation ---> Go-Live within the Financial and Projects areas of Dynamics AX
  • Leverage understanding of ERP systems to drive functional improvements and identify areas for process development
  • Test functionality developed by the implementation team against business requirements
  • Support and drive change process and communication
  • Coordinate and contribute to end-user training, including creation of user documentation and training materials
  • Prepare functional specifications for customization required during a Dynamics AX implementation
  • Hands-on configuration of Dynamics AX production and inventory modules
  • Provide pre-go-live and post-go-live end-user support
Credentials & Experience
  • College degree in a related discipline strongly desired (Business Management, Finance, Accounting)
  • Professional certification and accreditation
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX certification(s) in related discipline a plus
  • Experience with other modules within Dynamics AX desired
  • Minimum 3-years hands-on experience with full life-cycle implementations
  • (5) or more years private industry experience recommended

  • Knowledge of discrete manufacturing best practices, principles and procedures as related to mid-to-large scale business processes
  • Demonstrable knowledge of applying the following AX functional areas to business processes:
    • Item Master
    • Bill of Materials
    • Calendars and Work Centers
    • Operations and Routes
    • Production Scheduling
    • Subcontracting
    • Production Control
    • Master Planning
  • Experience with the Project module would be desirable
  • Ability to understand, communicate, and interpret client business processes and requirements
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative atmosphere
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple demands
  • Proven ability to write effective system and process documentation - including business and system requirements, process diagrams, and data flow charts
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Fluent in English - both written and verbal - mandatory
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems as they relate to effective and efficient business processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with little supervision
  • Resolve conflict
