About Social Emotive Labs
Social Emotive Labs is a Chicago based startup seeking to hire a team of front-end and back-end developer to develop our highly innovative platform. These position are full time long-term contract. We are building a global team that will be working remotely. This requires a self-motivated individual with strong work ethic. The salary will be based on experience, paid in USD on a monthly basis and will include internet connectivity allowance. Our development team is based in Pakistan, and work remotely from their respective homes. This is an extremely challenging and demanding job that will require you to learn the advanced concepts of web development. Our developers start work at 6am Pakistan time, and work about 50hrs/week.

We build social mobile and web based games and training that deliver non-cognitive brain training that enhances how users Think, Feel & Act, by building their social-emotional and life decision making skills. The apps you will create will make the world a better place. These apps will apply the latest advances in social science combined with machine learning to enable people to connect with their inner selves, and also with their friends. Through this journey, the apps will help reduce stress, depression, anxiety, loneliness and help people sleep better. About the Open Job Positions
We have 2 full-time openings, front-end developer and a back-end developer with exceptionally HTML/CSS background with strong command of Javascript, JQuerry, AJAX, and bootstrap, responsive and reactive web/mobile applications. The front-end developer needs to be some what fluent with graphics/UI/UX design, as well as back-end development.
Job Specification
Front-end developerWe are looking for an excellent front-end developer = Solid javascript/HTML5/CSS skills are the most important.
Requirements:- Html5, css3, bootstrap, responsive web design
- AJAX, jQuery, Backbone, Bootstrap
- Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
- Experience with Mobile app, especially PhoneGap Build / Cordova
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user/system interaction
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
- Cross-browser testing, git, are good to know
A huge plus:- Understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns
- Experience with social games design
- Multi-platform mobile application development experience
- Experience with server side web-programming languages or frameworks
- User interface design knowledge
- Experience server side database design
- Understand SEO techniques and Google Analytics integration
- Understand basic concepts of A/B and Multivariate Testing
Backend DeveloperWe are looking for an excellent backend developer with exceptional Javascript + NodeJS + MongoDB experience with crazy OOD skills.
Requirements:
- Experience with server side programming
- Javascript / NodeJS
- MongoDB or other RDBMS or NoSQL DB
- Experience with SOA, Web services and Restful API
- Experience with Design and Analysis of large scale system
- Understanding of internet security
- Cross-browser testing, git, are good to know
A huge plus:- Understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns
- Experience with social games design
- Multi-platform mobile application development experience
- Experience with server side web-programming languages or frameworks
