Join Our Creative Team at SD Marketing as Graphic / Magazine / Publication Designer!

Location: Pacific Standard Time (PST) Zone - Fully Remote

Hours: 9:00 AM PST - 5:00 PM PST (Must be able to work during Pacific Standard Time hours)

Our publication reaches a broad audience, delivering a blend of insightful stories and dynamic visuals. We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Publication Manager to lead a pivotal redesign and ongoing design management of our print and digital magazines.

The Role:

As our Magazine / Publication Designer, you will be at the forefront of our magazine's transformation. Your expertise in print and digital magazine design will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our publication. We value creativity, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of the latest trends in visual design.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development:

Create and implement design layouts for the magazine's various sections, including feature stories, regular columns, and special inserts.

Develop and maintain a consistent visual style across all issues, aligning with our brand guidelines and editorial tone.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with editors, writers, photographers, and illustrators to integrate text, images, and other design elements.

Attend editorial meetings to understand content plans and provide input on visual storytelling possibilities.

- Lead the Redesign: Be the driving force behind the complete redesign of our monthly magazine, ensuring a fresh, appealing, and reader-friendly format.

- Design Oversight: Oversee the entire design and layout process, maintaining the highest standards of visual excellence.

- Collaborative Leadership: Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams to ensure the magazine's design complements our editorial voice and brand ethos.

- Diverse Project Management: Take on additional design projects, demonstrating versatility and adaptability in meeting various departmental needs.

- Quality Assurance: Uphold exceptional standards in all visual outputs, ensuring consistency and alignment with our brand identity.


- Innovative Approach: Employ cutting-edge design techniques and technologies to enhance the magazine's visual appeal and reader engagement.

Job Specification

What We Need From You:

- Proven Experience: 2+ years of experience designing print and digital magazines.

- Diverse Design Expertise: Skills in video editing, web design, graphic design, and related fields.

- Leadership Acumen: Strong track record of leading design teams and managing complex projects.

- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

- Creative Flair: A keen eye for design and detail and an innovative mindset.

- Strong Communication: Excellent ability to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Proficiency in English is required.

- Adaptability: Capable of juggling multiple projects and adapting to evolving priorities.

- Educational Background: A degree is preferred but not required in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related discipline. Over 2+ years of related experience required.
