Major Responsibilities
- Support health department in development and implementation of communication action plan for strengthening routine immunization and MNCH services.
- Provides technical support and assistance in the research, development, pre-testing, and production of culturally relevant communication materials.
- Partnerships for social mobilization and Community participation
- Capacity Building, Coordination and collaboration with government and partners for effective community outreach and engagement.
- Supportive Supervision/Monitoring of communication activities
Skills/Knowledge
- Knowledge of principles, practices, methodology and techniques of C4D particularly in health sector
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Understanding of Rights-based and Results-based approach and programming
- Computer knowledge, skills and practical experience, including internet navigation, network, telecommunications and various office applications.
- Proficient in local language(s)
Qualification
University degree in the social/behavioral sciences, mass communication or other related field(s) that complement communication for development (C4D) work. Advance university degree would be an asset
