Sine IT Solutions is one of the preferred offshore destination for international companies for their software development, IT services and support needs.

We are looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA, Ideal candidates will have strong SQL database skills, including troubleshooting, query building and ability to work across various technical teams in an operations support environment.

Job Roles/Responsibilities:

This role is an opportunity to affect positive changes to a very large ops team via your direct SQL DBA skills in replication, performance tuning, analysis of current database processes and knowledge article authoring. This operations team is a 7x24 environment and may require shift work.

• Design, build and run database infrastructure at scale, primary accountability for Microsoft SQL Server, but with a small but growing MongoDB, Redis, and MySQL footprint.
• Manage database Disaster Recovery and High Availability
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, Python and Ansible.
• Install and upgrade the SQL Server database instances in all environments including but not limited to development, QA and Production
• Perform data analysis, SQL optimization, database tuning, and general database reliability analysis.
• Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure operations with minimum downtime.
• Responsible for working with development team throughout the system lifecycle on recommendations on table design, database index optimization, and SQL query design.
• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team
• Responsible for security database patches based on company approved maintenance schedules
• Work with strategic vendors on best practices and service issues.
• Create and enforce database standards.
• Support a global 24 x 7 support rotation approximately 1 week per month for critical production applications.

• Proven 5+ years of SQL Server Database Administration experience
• 5+ years of SQL development experience including package/procedure/trigger/scripting development in a multi-user production environment
• T-SQL AD-HOC Query and Scripting experience
• Ability to understand requirements and create tables, views, stored procedures, functions and also support SQL deployment to multiple environments
• Experience with SQL Server High Availability configurations and disaster recovery
• Experience in .Net environment
• Microsoft certification is highly desired. *******
