Full Stack CORE PHP & Wordpress Developer

MavenUp Creatives (Pvt) Ltd have an immediate requirement for a full-stack WordPress & PHP developer. The ideal candidate must has a thorough understanding of WordPress development standards and strong command on PHP framework & best practices. Strong front-end skills and experience creating and working with custom themes is required. Finally, he or she must be capable of leading a small team of developers.

This candidate must have immediate availability to start.

Essential Skills:

• 3+ years Core Development in Php (IMPORTANT)
• Hand-on Experience in WordPress
• Experience in Theme Development (New THEME DEVELOPMENT )
• Strong knowledge of Front-end Development
• Developing custom themes
• Building UI’s to specifications based on provided PSD mockups
• Responsive design fundamentals
• Responsive frameworks (Foundation, Bootstrap, etc)
• Setting up custom post types and using inside templates
• Using GIT in a team environment
• SASS/SCSS
• Add features/functionality via custom Javascript/jQuery
• Implementing plugins when plugins are ideal (and knowing when they aren’t)
• Implementing 3rd-party libraries and basic APIs
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Knowledge of redux framework
• Must have an understanding of RESTful Web Services technologies such as JSON, SOAP. Theme customization, Child Theme.

Ideal Additional Skills:

• Using a task-runner (Grunt/Gulp)
• Using Bower to manage dependencies
• Social media API experience
• Google Maps API experience
• Strong written/verbal skills
