WP Hood, a website maintenance and management company is looking for a full-time Senior PHP & WordPress Developer to join its team. The candidate who fills this position will utilize their technical aptitude and (optionally) design skills to create new WordPress themes and plugins as well as modify existing themes and plugins, work on WordPress website modification, customization and optimization. They will be required to work independently, but they will also collaborate with account representatives, designers, and other developers to address feedback and resolve problems. Their code should be modular, reusable, and well documented to the benefit of the team. The candidate should have experience in working with PHP frameworks to build modular applications from scratch.
WP Hood is known for its responsive customer service and clean web design, and so our websites must also be fast and clean.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with account representatives, designers, and other developers to ensure optimum work quality.
- Perform website maintenance and implement new features for existing WordPress themes.
- Accurately prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet tight deadlines.
- Quickly and independently analyze web-related technical problems and develop solutions.
- Build Scope of Work documents and plan resources accordingly.
- Create scalable architecture for web applications.

Job Specification
Minimum Qualifications:
- Clear, concise, and cordial communication skills (written and verbal) using English.
- Proficiency with HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience with the Bootstrap front-end framework.
- Experience with PHP (bonus points if you’ve developed a WordPress theme or plugin).
- Working knowledge of one or more image authoring and editing programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch).
- In-depth knowledge of Wordpress.
- In-depth knowledge of at least 1 PHP framework.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with two or more programming languages (e.g., PHP, JavaScript, Ruby, etc.)
- Interest and ability to learn other programming languages as needed.
- Ability to maintain a consistent coding style.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience (e.g., an account representative or a client).
