Job Description

A subsidiary of Pakistan Engineering Council, PICC is the single authentic source of construction data in Pakistan. Headquartered in Lahore, the institute has begun its operations with a team of dedicated professionals including contract specialists, market surveyors/inspectors, IT experts, engineers, managers and data entry operators. We are looking to fill the position(s) of Senior Quantity Surveyor(s) immediately. This is middle-career position and the duty station will be Lahore.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Reporting to Chief Engineering Analyst PICC, Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide technical assistance to PICC's Engineering team. Familiarity with web based environment and software application in construction industry will be a plus.

2.Collect data from manufacturers, suppliers, vendors etc for all construction inputs.

3.Should be able to Schedule of Rates, tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.

4.Should be able to prepare schedules of rates, costs analysis, assist in establishing client requirements and feasibility studies.
5.Providing assistance in preparing contractual claims.

6.Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports.

7.Responsible for relationship with clients and timely delivery of outputs activities.

8.Manage and supervise performance of Junior Quantity Surveyors.

9.Having proactive, strategic, forward-thinking team player capable of working with multiple business and technical areas to achieve optimal solutions.

10.Ability to make presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

11.Any other relevant tasks assigned by the concerned manager.

Job Specification

1.Minimum 3 years Post-Matric Diploma/B.Tech in Quantity Surveying (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical) with at least 7 years of work experience in the areas of Contract Administration, Cost Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management and Project Management with reputed organizations.

2.Preference will be given to the person who is/ was actively engaged in preparation of Schedule of Rates for all type of construction inputs.

3.Strong conceptual and working knowledge of tender documents and FIDIC.

4.Possess excellent mathematical and accounting skills.

5.Should be familiar with relevant laws, rules in preparing Schedule of Rates.

6.Be analytical and organized. Team player as well as team leader.

7.Be computer literate with strong report writing skills.

8.Self motivated and proactive with strong analytical and design skills

9.A keen planner and leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.

10.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment. Must be flexible, willing to perform other duties and work irregular hours.
