The part of world in which I am living in was previously known as the Subcontinent. This includes the present area of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. It was also the home land for some of the oldest civilizations lived in this world and now among one the most densely populated area of the world. With this all; This is also a fact that the World is being getting aided on a large scales from the expertise of Human Resource from theis part of the World.

In this first version of my research article i am exploring and analysing that what is Human Resource and its Competitiveness now a days and what it matters for a nation to build its Human Resource Capital and enhaces its compitativeness for Survival. I believe that any individual or the group of individuals are successful based on the phenomenon that what good resources they have attained and how best these resources are being utilized. This actually starts with the Human Resource and when i refer to the word Human Resource; it means the human beings with their set of beliefs, abilities and skills to perform certain tasks. The History of Human Being is evident that it follows the continuous improvement processes for its betterment and wellbeing. To achieve this it always tries to turn around all the surrounding factors (i.e. all economic and non-economic factors) for their benefits and to achieve the best and quality standards of human livings.

I must say and would like to support this with many easy finding facts that in our times the competitive advantage among the nations is derived from the ability that how much a nation is able to use the surrounding factors for its benefits. Now this ends up and strongly coherent with the attainment of appropriate education, intelligent skills, modern tools, technologies and the art of using and optimizing these factors.

Since 14th August 1947 Pakistani nation is striving to maintain a dignified status among the International Nations. In this mission Alhumdulillah Pakistani’s are very much successful and with integrity they are overcoming their weaknesses and attaining the very much required knowledge, skills, education and tools.

At Global level there are few independent organizations i.e. World Economic Forum, United Nations which are working to collect data and the statistics from the world population about their economic conditions, human development trends, intensity of vicious circle of poverty to show the competitiveness of these economies along with the nation’s standard of living.

In last two decades Pakistan has shown large scale improvement in many areas and the Human Development Index has been improved tangibly but still there are few areas in which Pakistani nation must have to improve and some of these areas are i.e.

  • Civil Rights and Liberty,
  • Health and Education,
  • Income distribution equality (Poor and Rich Gap)
  • Strong and reliable Institutions,
  • Knowledge sharing and Information rights,
  • Efficient Labor and Financial markets.

The “Global Competitiveness Report” published with the Statistics for 2019 shows that Pakistan is on 110 number among the 141 nations of the world whose economies are gauged as per the set standards by the WORLD ECONMIC FORUM. This ranking is not good rather very alarming. And the alarms buzzes bit harder; when we compare the percentage increase of allocated resources for improvement and the corresponding output. This directly implies that we are imputing our effort somehow in a wrong direction; therefore, we as a Nation should first realize this and realign our effort to make a positive change.

May ALLAH BE WITH US.
