The Pakistan Railway Freight Transportation Company (PRFTC) Pvt. Ltd was established on 19.12.2014 as a Private Limited Company under the companies’ ordinance with an authorized capital of Rs.10 Million divided into ordinary shares of Rs.10/- each. As per its mandate company has to focus on freight transportation, primarily coal, from Karachi to the upcountry. Since its establishment, PRFTC has been a commercially viable and self-sustaining organization.
