General Requirements:
· Main things needed to know and the basics are the OS itself, services like DNS fundamentals, HTTP and Database knowledge. · Must be Proficient with shell scripting language.
· Applications or services like JBoss, Tomcat, Apache web server, MySQL.
· Backups is good knowledge to have along with a good disaster recovery plan.
· VMware and other virtualization technologies is good to have as well.
· Must be a great team player.
· Quickly arrange repair for hardware in occasion of hardware failure
· A system administrator must have a strong grasp of computer security (e.g. firewalls and others).
