Lab Technician

1. Will be the in-charge of the store/stock of concerned subject Laboratory.
2. Will prepare the Stock registers in consultation with the concerned subject lecturer/teacher
3. Will get physical verification of the material/ equipments of the respective laboratory with the stock registers with the help of the concerned subject lecturer/ teacher,after every 6 months
4. Will take care about the cleanliness/maintenance of the respective Laboratory.
5. Will also take care of the Electric appliances, taps, Gas Plant and ensure not to misuse of the above in any circumstance.
6. With the help of Lecturer/ teacher, he will provide the science practical material/ equipment to the students as per their need.
7. Will repair the minor fault of the practical equipment with the help of the concerned lecturer/ teacher
8. Will make correspondence with the Science material distributors/ firms to purchase the science material/ equipment with the help of the concerned lecturer/ teacher
9. Will not proceed on leave without the recommendation of the concerned lecturer/teacher. In case of approval of leave kind due, he will hand over the keys of the laboratory to the concerned lecturer/ teacher.
10. Ensure the safety procedures of chemicals and instruments.
11. Timely inform the concerned authority in case of Harm/Breakage.
12. Labelling/Tagging of all the chemicals, glassware and instruments.
13. Strictly follow the good manufacturing practices of Laboratory.
14. Ensure all health and safety procedures are understood and followed correctly.
15. Any other work as may be assigned by the concerned Head of the institution according to the availability of staff, ability and local convenience.
