NON LINEAR EDITORS required for editing online video lectures as part of the Hijaz Islamic University (HIU) post-production team.
Editor will be given lecturer’s notes and raw footage of lecture to edit into a multimedia mini-documentary.
Editor will be given a point by point brief for how to edit the lecture as well as resource materials i.e. images, sounds etc.
Editor will then edit raw footage into finished multimedia videos ready for online broadcast.
Responsibilities include:
- Compiling camera footage and sound
- Cutting and joining shots, adding sound effects, graphics and special effects
- Creating lecture-specific and general use visual aids or ‘assets’
- Formatting footage for streaming online
- Carrying out online editing duties after lecture completion
Successful candidate will be working freelance and independently and reporting to an Editing Manager.
Salary is 10000 PKR per lecture.
Work is freelance based with maximum completion time of 2 weeks per lecture.
Multiple lectures can be taken on at once - meaning editor has no upwards limit for how much they can earn.
