Job Description
Appliconic (estb. 2009) is need of a network assistant to assist the network administrator in the following tasks:
- Establishing networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
- Maintaining iMac/desktop systems and their hardware problems
- Complete maintenance of existing servers and its configuration
- Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization
- Software installation on servers and user end systems
- Monitoring the user end systems for any leak or data theft of data and credentials
- Undertaking data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources
- Securing network system by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
- Support and administration of firewall environments in line with IT security policy
- Configuration of routing and switching equipment
- Basic configuration of firewalls
- Remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation
- Capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices
- Conversing with employees via email and phone for initial requirement capture
