We are looking for an experienced Accountants at Rafiq Steel Mills in our Gujranwala office. This is a very hands on one person department. Past manufacturing sector experience is a must preferably in Steel Industry! This position reports to the Director of the company and will have access to the outside CPA who will be involved on an as needed basis. Basic Responsibilities: - Analyze trends, costs,revenues, and financial commitments incurred to forecast future revenues and expenses. - Assist with development of pricing and cost models to ensure profitability, - Prepare period financial statements and related supplemental documents, fixed asset management along with payroll and the payroll compliance reports that go along with the process. - Manage Accounts Payables and Receivables - Financial reporting for management and clients, various other financial analysis - Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances - Prepare and perform financial presentations for clients and management - Documentation of internal controls - Compile and support external auditors' requests for information and documentation. - Facilitate and complete monthly close and reconciliations - Assist with financial and tax audits and with the tax fillings - Assist with quarterly producer commission reports; analyzing and correcting discrepancies - Collaborate to Create and Maintain accounting and cost accounting policies and procedures - Update standard costs and analyze cost variances - Oversee the Standard Cost functions - Analyze reports to identify cost trends & report findings to senior management - Make recommendations to improve manufacturing efficiency - Identify inventory and production issues. Work closely with Plant Management to correct and resolve. - Assist management on special projects as directed - Other projects as assigned
Qualifications - Minimum BA in Accounting or Finance or related field - Two or more years in accounting for Manufacturing industry - Accounting Software experience - Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and formulas - Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Email - Excellent verbal and written skills & the ability to interact with all organization levels, including senior management.both in English and Urdu - Successful experience in managing multiple, conflicting priorities under deadlines.
