Summary:
Duties primarily consist of developing and maintaining custom web applications built using Magento, writing extensions and architecting new Magento projects.

- Design and implement web platform system changes on the back-end and front-end
- Evaluate, test and implement components, integration points for e-commerce store.
- Design, develop, and build infrastructure on the principles of the application.
- Enhancement and maintenance of existing web applications.
- Collaborate with design and development teamsv Contribute best-in-class programming skills to develop highly innovative, maintainable code.
- Upgrade Magento installations to newer versions
- Browser test for all major browsersv Install and configure various Magento Extensions
- Extend Magento functionality through custom programming
- Customize every portion of Magento to meet client requirements
- Configure Magento to work with ERP systems, advanced accounting systems
- Configure basic and advanced Magento settings
- Responsible for maintaining a development environment

- Strong PHP coding experience
- Magento development experience
- Developing and integrating customized extensions into Magento applications
- Familiarity with source control (Subversion/Git)
- Solutions-oriented thinking; always looking for the smart solution to a problem rather than jumping at the first answer
- A preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies
- Expertise in authoring and extending Magento extensions
- No core code modifications
- Expertise in database concepts (MySQL)
- Competent with MVC & PHP object-oriented programming
- Strong knowledge of Magento configuration options
- Strong knowledge of Magento-specific data organization

- Strong knowledge of Magento theme components (layout, block, template)
