Job Description

Job Duties and Tasks for: "Marketing Manager"

Typical work activities:

1. To liaise and building relationships. Externally, this could be with customers and suppliers. Internally this could mean different related and supporting departments.
2. To contribute to the strategic planning of an annual or long term marketing plan to drive forward agreed company objectives.
3. To budget manage and identify advertising opportunities.
4. To building and maintaining contacts with the media.
5. To write and distributing press releases.
6. To manage the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters and flyers. This can involve writing and proofreading copy, and liaising with designers and printers.
7. To arrange for the effective distribution of marketing materials.
8. To maintain, build and update mailing databases.
9. To organize and attend events and exhibitions.
10. To develop strategic relations to secure sponsorship to assist with the publicity and funding of marketing projects.
11. To carry out market research and customer surveys to assess demand, brand positioning and awareness.
12. To evaluate marketing campaigns.
13. To monitor competitor activity.
14. To support the marketing manager, and other colleagues.
15. Monitoring and analyzing market trends.
  1. Studying competitors' products and services.
  2. Exploring ways of improving existing products and services, and increasing profitability.
  3. Identifying target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them.
  4. preparing and managing marketing plans and budgets
  5. Managing the production of promotional material.
  6. Liaising with other internal departments such as sales and distribution.
  7. Producing reports to monitor results.
  8. Presenting findings and suggestions to company directors or other senior managers.
  9. Supporting and managing a marketing team.
