Shift Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of maintenance work at the Whiting Business Unit. This role communicates and sets the daily team direction and ensures that the maintenance team has the necessary skills and tools to be effective.The Maintenance Shift Supervisor provides leadership to their crew through communication, coaching, training and collaboration and in conjunction with Planning, Scheduling, Maintenance Engineering, Reliability and Inspection, the Maintenance Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring optimal utilization of refinery maintenance resources to support process/unit/area mechanical availability. Resources include, but are not limited to, refinery craftsmen, contractor personnel, and all required material/tools/equipment in support of daily maintenance activities.
5 to 7 years of relevant experience

Personal Situation: Able to commute reliably to office bases at Luton. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required. Must be able to work shifts, attended meetings. Specific Job Skills: Able to communicate and motivate coherently both verbally and via written media. Understands the principles of manufacturing, and has strong man-management skills. Strong leadership planning and organisational skills essential. Work experience: Minimum 3 years working in a high mass volume manufacturing environment as a Shift Supervisor or within an equivalent capacity. Ideally from a plastics background.
