Job Description
1) Installation and configuration of computer hardware, operating system, applications, software, networks, printers and scanners.
2) Exploring, diagnosing, Troubleshooting system and network problems and solving hardware or software faults.
3) Replacing computer parts as per requirements.
4) Creating and maintaining logs about when and why new windows or operating system installation was required and done.
5) Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
6) Communicating staff through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone/Skype/3cx, to determine the nature of problems and help to resolve issues.
7) Proactively checking any issues in all the installed system.
8) Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades.
9) Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.
10) Maintenance of Computers inventory including accessories according to users, systems and accessories issued by date.
11) setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
12) responding within agreed time limits to call-outs
13) Testing and evaluating new technology and software.
14) Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
15) Being up-to-date with information security issues.
16) Check and maintain electrical devices and cabling related to IT
17) Installation of the communication devices including telephone sets and IP Phones and related cables.
18) Work in different shifts and on-call work availability, because computing equipment is in continual 24-hour operation.
