Job Description
The video editor is responsible for using a video editing software (any software of his/her choice) to produce a final video based off the raw footage that we give him.
The raw footage will include:
1) A video lesson to teach children how to write an A, B, C etc.
2) A puppet show that teaches children basic vocabulary.
The raw footage for both
1) Video Lesson and
2) puppet show will have the audio recording and the video recording separately.
The video editor will use the video editing software to cut, speed up, and slow down the footage, so that the voice matches the video.
Job Specification
In addition, the video editor is also responsible for adding background sound effects to the videos.
These include
i) Adding appropriate background music to the entire video,
ii) Adding sound effects like ‘splashing of water’, ‘bouncing of ball’ etc to the puppet show as and when appropriate, to make it look more interesting.
One video should approximately take the video editor between 3-4 hours, when practiced well. Hence, this can be a part time job as well. If the editor can prove his/her capability in the first week, they can even do the job at home, given that they are independent and responsible.
