Data Scientist (MATLAB)

• Analyzing and interpreting business requirements into technical specifications, surveying the scientific literature and identifying relevant theoretical techniques that are amenable to practical deployment for the purpose of satisfying these technical specifications, inventing and developing new theoretical and/or computational techniques if no such suitable technique can be found in the scientific literature.
• Additional job responsibilities include design (i.e. architecture), development and testing of distributed software systems that embody the mentioned theoretical and/or computational techniques, which typically incorporate algorithms and data structures from one or more of the listed fields.
• Designing extensions for WebAction's TQL programming language, in order to support data science oriented computations.

• Graduate Level knowledge in Statistical Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Information Theory, Artificial Intelligence, Linear and Non-Linear Optimization, Dynamical Systems, Decision Analysis.
• Knowledge in Programming Language Design, Language Processors and Compilers, Database Management Systems and Relational Databases, Computer Networks, Operating Systems, Systems Programming. Knowledge in mathematical modeling using MATLAB and Mathematica.
• Proficiency in the following programming languages: Java, C++, Python, SQL, Shell Scripting.
• Image Processing in MATLAB
