Job Description
1. Collect, organize and analyze data as per requirement;·
2. certain documents from English to Urdu and Urdu to English if and when required;·
3. Handle day to day correspondence and communication including letters, emails or meetings in person;·
4. Design appropriate research methodologies, if and when required;·
5. Surf the web to collect and organize the relevant and required secondary data for a particular research;·
6. Develop diagrams, pie charts, graphs and charts, as and if required;·
7. Editing and formatting a document and/of the research report, if and when required; Write proposals and facilitate in writing proposals;
Job Specification
1. A bachelors /master’s degree in Development Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, Economics, public policy, statistics, Business Administration, NGO management or Human Rights will be the first choice. However, experienced individuals from other disciplines shall also be considered. ·
2. Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a research institute or in a national and international NGO is desirable or an IT company. ·
3. Proficiency in MS Office and Internet search is a must. Knowledge of SPSS and Urdu language (writing and translation skills) will be an asset though not a bar to apply.·
4. Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Urdu language and ability to produce and/or edit documents. ·
5. Capability to make decisions and resolve problems; self-motivation and the drive to work carefully without day to day supervision is expected and admired.·
6. Good knowledge base of donors is an asset·
7. Ability to interact with donors, volunteers and staff, etc.·
8. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines·
9. Detail oriented, problem solving and analytical skills
