The General Manager (GM) Production will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, ensuring that the company’s manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in production management, strategic planning, and team leadership within the Leather/Textile manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement production strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and profitability.
Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the entire production team, including department managers, supervisors, and staff. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and accountability.
Production Oversight: Ensure the efficient operation of all production lines, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Oversee the implementation of new technologies and processes to improve manufacturing capabilities.
Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the production budget, ensuring cost-effective operations. Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications. Work closely with the Quality Control department to address any issues and implement corrective actions.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and ensure that all employees are trained and adhere to safety protocols.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Planning, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales, to ensure alignment and support for production goals.
Reporting and Analysis: Monitor production performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare detailed reports for senior management. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
