We are looking for a developer to build a Microsoft Word Add-in that combines AI-based proofreading capabilities with document styling and validation features. You will help develop a tool that ensures documents are consistent, adhere to predefined style rules, and protect data privacy.
Responsibilities
1. Develop the Word Add-in:
Build an intuitive task pane interface for user interactions within Word.
Implement core features to interact with Word documents, including text selection, searching, and highlighting.
2. Custom Styles and Validation:
Develop functionality to create, apply, and validate custom Word styles.
Define and enforce style rules (e.g., heading formats, font consistency, spacing).
Provide real-time feedback when documents deviate from defined styles.
3. AI Integration:
Connect the add-in to an AI-powered backend for proofreading and consistency checks.
Display AI-generated suggestions for grammar, formatting, and style adherence.
4. Ensure Security and Privacy:
Implement secure communication using HTTPS and encrypted local data storage.
Develop an option for on-premises processing to ensure sensitive data does not leave user systems.
5. Testing and Optimization:
Test the add-in across various Word versions and operating systems.
Debug and optimize the add-in for performance and scalability.
6. Documentation and Deployment:
Write detailed user and technical documentation.
Package and deploy the add-in for local use or on Microsoft AppSource.
