The video editor will be responsible for capturing raw footage with the latest cameras and mobile phones and transforming it into a polished, cohesive final product by using specialized software to cut, arrange clips, add sound effects, music, graphics, and transitions, and ensure the visual narrative aligns with the project's goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Edits videos to targeted length and specifications
2. Handles and organizes raw and edited video files
3. Exports videos and facilitates mobile and web distribution
4. Shoots video and produces content as necessary
5. Explores different versions and directions
6. Record & edit long-format podcasts
7. Adjusts formats and file sizes as needed 8. Indoor & outdoor video recording
9. Ready to travel within Pakistan
10. Ready to travel outside Pakistan
Job Requirements:
1. Minimum 2 years professional experience as video editor
2. Proficient in various non-linear video editing tools and other software (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Capcut, Final Cut Pro)
3. Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles
4. Creative and innovative approach for social media content
5. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
6. Ready to accept challenges for content ideas
7. Understanding of using digital cameras & mobile phones for video shooting and editing
8. Understanding of working under different conditions
9. Must have a passport valid for at least one year
Job compensation:
Salary will be offered as per market standards and according to his/her skills, experience, and ability. Also, opportunity to travel within Pakistan and outside Pakistan. It's a long term job but the first month will serve as a probation period.
