We are seeking a results-driven and proactive Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our international insurance team. As an SDR, you will be on the front lines of our sales process—identifying, connecting with, and qualifying prospects across global markets. Your efforts will be instrumental in expanding SHJ’s reach in commercial and specialty insurance segments, supporting brokers, partners, and enterprise clients across industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Outreach: Research and identify potential international clients in need of insurance solutions (e.g., marine, trade credit, property & casualty, liability) through outbound calls, emails, social media, and industry platforms.
- Lead Qualification: Engage with prospects to understand their risk management needs and business operations, ensuring alignment with SHJ’s insurance offerings.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule discovery calls and demos for Account Executives and Senior Brokers by securing interest and buy-in from qualified leads.
- CRM & Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of lead interactions, status updates, and next steps using CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Market Insight: Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging insurance needs to better position SHJ International as a leading global insurance provider.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with underwriting, compliance, and regional sales teams to ensure smooth lead handover and client onboarding.
- Performance Tracking: Consistently meet or exceed weekly activity targets and quarterly KPIs related to lead generation and qualification.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree.
- 1–3 years of SDR or B2B sales experience, preferably within the insurance, financial services, or risk advisory sectors.
- Understanding of commercial and international insurance products is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and consultative approach.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic) are a plus.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales engagement tools.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently in a global, remote-first environment.
