Overview:
Nexus Aviation, a Sialkot-based sole proprietorship specializing in logistics and supply chain services, seeks an experienced Accountant to manage financial operations supporting air and ground freight, export documentation, cargo handling, consolidation and inventory activities. The role reports to the proprietor and works closely with operations, sales and warehouse teams to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting and compliance with local regulations.
- Maintain day-to-day accounting: Record accounts payable and receivable, process vendor and customer invoices, reconcile bank statements, and manage petty cash.
- Financial reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, profit & loss statements and balance sheets; provide variance analysis and cash flow updates to the proprietor.
- Compliance & statutory filings: Ensure timely GST/Sales Tax, income tax and other statutory returns; prepare supporting schedules for audits and regulatory inspections.
- Billing & collections: Generate customer invoices for freight and logistics services, follow up on receivables, and coordinate with operations to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Cost control: Monitor transport, handling and warehousing expenses; assist in vendor contract reviews and cost-saving initiatives.
- Inventory & reconciliation: Coordinate with warehouse staff to reconcile inventory records, record adjustments and support periodic stock counts.
- Process improvement: Document and refine accounting procedures, implement internal controls, and support adoption of accounting software or ERP modules.
- Ad hoc support: Assist with budgeting, forecasting and finance-related projects required by management.
