Overview:

Nexus Aviation, a Sialkot-based sole proprietorship specializing in logistics and supply chain services, seeks an experienced Accountant to manage financial operations supporting air and ground freight, export documentation, cargo handling, consolidation and inventory activities. The role reports to the proprietor and works closely with operations, sales and warehouse teams to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting and compliance with local regulations.

  • Maintain day-to-day accounting: Record accounts payable and receivable, process vendor and customer invoices, reconcile bank statements, and manage petty cash.
  • Financial reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, profit & loss statements and balance sheets; provide variance analysis and cash flow updates to the proprietor.
  • Compliance & statutory filings: Ensure timely GST/Sales Tax, income tax and other statutory returns; prepare supporting schedules for audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Billing & collections: Generate customer invoices for freight and logistics services, follow up on receivables, and coordinate with operations to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Cost control: Monitor transport, handling and warehousing expenses; assist in vendor contract reviews and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Inventory & reconciliation: Coordinate with warehouse staff to reconcile inventory records, record adjustments and support periodic stock counts.
  • Process improvement: Document and refine accounting procedures, implement internal controls, and support adoption of accounting software or ERP modules.
  • Ad hoc support: Assist with budgeting, forecasting and finance-related projects required by management.


The successful candidate will join a compact team in Sialkot and play a central role in ensuring financial accuracy that enables reliable, cost-effective logistics services for exporters and manufacturers in the region.

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and full-cycle accounting within logistics, freight forwarding, or a related SME environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Pakistan taxation and statutory compliance including Sales Tax/GST and Income Tax procedures.
  • Competency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP Business One or similar); ability to learn company-specific systems quickly.
  • Skilled in bank reconciliations, AR/AP management, journal entries, month-end close and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficient with Excel for reconciliations, pivot tables, formulas and cash flow modeling.
  • Attention to detail for billing accuracy, inventory reconciliations and audit schedules.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with operations, warehouse and external vendors; ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance staff.
  • Organizational skills and discipline to maintain timely filings, documentation and internal controls in a fast-paced logistics setting.
