Role overview
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join the exhibitions team to drive sales, secure bookings and sponsorships, and manage client relationships for trade shows and events.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in exhibitions and trade shows
- Generate leads and secure exhibition space bookings and sponsorships
- Build and maintain relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, and corporate clients
- Understand client requirements and prepare proposals, presentations, and quotations
- Achieve monthly sales and revenue targets
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth exhibition planning and execution
What we’re looking for
Must have
Preferred
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or client management within exhibitions, events, or related industries (5 years indicated)
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to generate and convert leads into sales
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Organizational and project-coordination skills to manage multiple events
- Target-driven with experience meeting sales/revenue goals
- Proficiency in proposal and quotation preparation
- Willingness to travel as required
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field or equivalent experience
- Certification in sales or event management (advantage)
