What you’ll be doing
JAMHEX Company Pvt Ltd is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support the finance department with essential accounting functions and financial record maintenance. The Assistant Accountant will:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, including invoice processing and supplier communications.
- Perform bank reconciliations and supplier reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules; assist month-end close procedures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate supporting schedules for audits and financial reviews.
- Support payroll basics and prepare supporting payroll documentation.
- Apply inventory and cost accounting principles relevant to manufacturing/chemical environments.
- Use accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, Sage or similar) and Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to maintain effective accounting practices and timely financial operations.
What we’re looking for
- Must-have: 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Software: Proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, Sage or similar).
- Excel: Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic formulas.
- Accounting fundamentals: Double-entry bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, month-end close procedures.
- Reconciliations: Bank and supplier reconciliations; accounts payable/receivable workflows.
- Payroll: Familiarity with payroll basics and statutory deductions.
- Manufacturing accounting: Understanding of inventory and cost accounting principles (manufacturing/chemical sectors preferred).
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication in English and Urdu.
