What you’ll be doing
Job Summary
- Provide direct nursing care to outpatients and clinic visitors: triage, vital signs, wound care, injections, and IV therapy as required.
- Assist physicians during consultations and minor procedures; prepare patients and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
- Administer medications and vaccines; coordinate with dispensary staff for correct dispensing and documentation.
- Perform point-of-care testing, record results accurately, and escalate abnormal findings to clinical staff.
- Maintain patient records, update charts, and ensure confidentiality of health information.
- Provide patient education on medication use, wound care, chronic condition management, and preventive health.
- Ensure clinic supplies and equipment readiness; report shortages to supervisors.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, adhere to clinical protocols, and support occasional community outreach or screening events.
What we’re looking for
Must-have
- Registered Nurse with valid Pakistan nursing license and current registration.
- Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience; outpatient or primary care experience preferred.
- Competence in vital signs monitoring, injections, IV cannulation, and wound dressing.
- Basic emergency response skills.
- Experience with point-of-care tests (glucometer, rapid tests) and specimen handling.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to maintain accurate patient charts and medication records.
- Good communication skills in Urdu and English.
- Basic computer skills for electronic record keeping and appointment management.
- Knowledge of infection control, occupational safety, and waste disposal procedures.
