What you’ll be doing
Role Summary:
- Provide compassionate primary care in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Conduct patient consultations, take histories, and perform physical examinations.
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe medications appropriately.
- Order and interpret routine diagnostic tests (labs, basic imaging) and collaborate with nurses/technicians for sample collection and follow-up.
- Coordinate with the dispenser/pharmacy to ensure accurate dispensing and patient counseling.
- Maintain accurate medical records, ensure patient confidentiality, and follow clinic protocols.
- Provide preventive care, health education, and patient counseling.
- Participate in case reviews, staff meetings, and referrals; mentor junior staff as required.
What we’re looking for
- Must-have: Valid MBBS or equivalent medical degree with full Pakistan Medical Commission registration.
- Clinical skills in history-taking, physical examination, and common outpatient procedures.
- Ability to diagnose and manage acute and chronic primary care conditions; knowledge of common medications and dosing.
- Competence in ordering and interpreting routine labs and basic imaging.
- Record-keeping proficiency and familiarity with clinic protocols and patient confidentiality.
- Basic infection control knowledge and adherence to safety procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to coordinate with nurses, technicians, and dispensers.
- Preferred: Postgraduate qualifications or relevant clinical certifications; experience in outpatient clinical practice; leadership/mentoring experience.
