Role Overview
- Milltex is a US-based apparel group with operations in the US and Pakistan, including Milltex apparel wholesale and blanks sourcing, MTX Stitches embroidery & decoration services, and RZ Outdoors licensed camo apparel retail.
- We serve US wholesale and retail customers with emphasis on quality, repeatability, and on-time delivery. A custom in-house platform called Threadline powers order management, sampling, costing, and supplier coordination.
Role Overview
- Position: Merchandiser for MTX Stitches (Embroidery & decoration).
- Work mode: On-site (Karachi) with required travel; role is primarily desk-based and works across Threadline for costing, sampling, production tracking, and dispatch.
- Hours: Must be able to work US Eastern Time business hours (approx. 6:00 PM–3:00 AM PKT, Monday–Friday).
- Responsibilities include running embroidery orders end-to-end, costing decorations accurately, coordinating with US operations, internal merchandising, and supplier network, staying current on US buyer preferences and market trends, and performing occasional field visits to suppliers/production units.
What we’re looking for
- Must-have:
Bachelor's or diploma in Textile, Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Manufacturing, or related field.
Minimum 2 years experience (internships at export houses, embroidery units, or buying offices count).
Deep understanding of embroidery techniques and pricing: flat/direct embroidery, single-layer and double-layer applique, 3D puff, chenille, and various patch types.
Ability to build cost from stitch count, thread colors, placement, technique, backing, and run size.
Familiarity with US apparel decoration market and trends (streetwear, varsity/college, outdoor, corporate segments).
Comfort working on a laptop within a custom web app and ability to learn new software quickly (Threadline experience is a plus).
Based in Karachi with reliable internet, backup power, and quiet workspace.
Willing and able to work US Eastern Time business hours (approx. 6:00 PM3:00 AM PKT, MondayFriday).
Good written and spoken English and strong communication skills. - Nice to have / Preferred:
Familiarity with digitizing software output (Wilcom, Pulse, or similar).
Hands-on exposure to multi-head embroidery machines (Tajima, Barudan, ZSK, SWF).
