The Italian restaurant is a fine-dining establishment in Karachi seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations, uphold high standards of service, and grow a reputation for exceptional Italian cuisine.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and schedule front-of-house staff including hosts, servers, and bartenders; conduct regular briefings and provide performance feedback.
- Oversee daily floor operations to ensure timely seating, order accuracy, and efficient table turnover while preserving guest comfort and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the head chef to coordinate service flow, special menus, private dining, and event execution.
- Manage reservations, guest relations, complaint resolution, and VIP service to build repeat business and positive reviews.
- Maintain inventory control and cost-management processes, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Use POS and reservation systems to optimize seating and service flow; monitor labor costs and basic P&L metrics.
- Support hiring, training, and performance management for front-of-house teams.
What we’re looking for
- Must-have: Proven restaurant management experience in a fine-dining environment; at least 3 years supervisory experience.
- Operational: Reservation systems, POS management, seating strategies, service flow optimization, inventory control, cost control, labor scheduling, basic P&L understanding.
- People: Staff leadership (hiring, training, scheduling, performance management), customer relations and complaint resolution, VIP service.
- Compliance: Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, local health regulations; certification preferred.
- Other: Event/private-dining coordination, strong communication in English and local languages, attention to detail, multitasking, ability to work under pressure.
