Role Summary:Join the fabrication team to produce high-quality MIG-welded bicycle components that meet dimensional and visual standards for domestic and export customers. Set up and operate MIG welding equipment on steel and aluminum, follow work orders and welding procedures, perform quality checks, and maintain equipment and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and set up GMAW (MIG) equipment, fixtures and materials per job drawings and work orders.
- Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum bicycle frames and components (tack, stitch, fillet, butt joints) to specified tolerances and appearance standards.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, tolerances and welding symbols; follow weld procedures and quality checklists.
- Carry out quality inspections: dimensional checks, visual inspection, and basic NDT (e.g., dye penetrant) as required.
- Use welding jigs/fixtures and perform position welding while maintaining dimensional tolerances.
- Maintain equipment: routine cleaning, nozzle replacement, wire feed checks; report defects to maintenance.
- Adhere to workplace safety practices, use PPE, and handle gases and consumables safely.
