What you’ll be doing
Company: TalentedDevs (founder-led software & web development studio based in Karachi)
Role: Hands-on WordPress Intern working with leadership on client and internal projects. Assist in building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress sites; contribute to front-end and basic back-end tasks; help ensure quality and performance.

Role: Hands-on WordPress Intern working with leadership on client and internal projects. Assist in building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress sites; contribute to front-end and basic back-end tasks; help ensure quality and performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Support development and customization of WordPress themes and plugins using best practices.
- Implement responsive front-end layouts using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (frameworks/libraries as directed).
- Assist in content migration, site configuration, and setting up page builders and custom post types.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, debugging, and plugin compatibility checks.
- Use Git for version control and collaborate on code reviews.
- Optimize site performance: image compression, caching, asset minification.
- Follow security hardening guidelines and contribute to QA and deployment packaging.

- Familiarity with WordPress CMS: installing themes/plugins, configuring settings, using page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
- Basic front-end: semantic HTML5, responsive CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript fundamentals.
- Exposure to PHP for simple theme/plugin customization and template modification.
- Knowledge of Git and basic command-line usage.
- Understanding of web performance optimization (image compression, caching, asset minification).
- Basic SEO and accessibility awareness for content/markup.
- Debugging skills: browser devtools, error logs, plugin conflict isolation.
- Familiarity with local development environments (Local, XAMPP, MAMP) and FTP/SFTP.
Other:
- Good communication, time management, and ability to follow technical guidance from senior staff.
