What you’ll be doing

About the role

Key responsibilities:

Plan and deliver age-appropriate Urdu language lessons (reading, writing, grammar, comprehension) for Grades 6-8 aligned to school curriculum and learning objectives.
Prepare and teach Islamiyat (preparatory level) lessons emphasizing Quranic literacy, basic fiqh, seerah and moral values suitable for middle-school students.
Use a variety of instructional strategies including storytelling, group work, interactive writing, and formative assessments to engage diverse learners.
Create lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments; maintain records of student performance and progress.
Differentiate instruction and provide remedial support or enrichment.
Manage classroom behaviour and foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Communicate student progress to parents and collaborate with grade-level teams and departmental colleagues.
Use basic digital tools and school learning platforms to prepare materials and track learning.

What we’re looking for

Must-have skills and experience:

Strong command of Urdu language: grammar, composition, reading comprehension, and literature analysis for Grades 6-8.
Solid understanding of Islamiyat fundamentals: Quranic verses, basic fiqh, seerah, akhlaq and moral instruction at preparatory level.
Lesson planning, curriculum mapping, and assessment design (formative & summative).
Classroom management and student engagement techniques for middle-school learners.
Differentiation strategies for mixed-ability classrooms and remedial interventions.
Clear verbal and written communication for parent interactions and reporting.
Collaboration skills to work with grade-level teams.
Basic digital literacy for preparing teaching materials and using learning platforms.
Professionalism, punctuality, and commitment to child safeguarding and inclusive practices.
