Position overview:
Entry-level role to support daily import and export workflows and gain hands-on experience in international freight processes, customs documentation, and coordination with suppliers, carriers and internal teams. Work under supervision and learn compliance and logistics management best practices.

Entry-level role to support daily import and export workflows and gain hands-on experience in international freight processes, customs documentation, and coordination with suppliers, carriers and internal teams. Work under supervision and learn compliance and logistics management best practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin and customs declarations
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers and vendors to schedule pickups, consolidate cargo and monitor transit status
- Support customs clearance by collecting required information, following tariff classifications, tracking duties and taxes, and assisting to resolve clearance issues
- Maintain shipment logs, update internal systems with shipment milestones, and produce status reports for supervisors and clients
- Participate in reviews of operational processes and suggest improvements during training
What we’re looking for
- Must-have: Attention to detail when preparing and checking documentation
- Good verbal and written communication for coordinating with carriers, suppliers and internal teams
- Basic computer skills: MS Excel for tracking shipments, email and database/ERP entry
- Organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and priorities under deadlines
- Problem-solving mindset to follow up on exceptions and assist in resolving clearance or transit issues
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take direction from supervisors during training
- Preferred: Internship or coursework in import/export, freight operations or related experience
