What you’ll be doing
Role:
Reporting to project management, responsible for quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost control and estimating for steel-structure projects on-site in Gujranwala.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting to project management, responsible for quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost control and estimating for steel-structure projects on-site in Gujranwala.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for steel structure projects.
- Review structural drawings and material specifications to derive quantities.
- Maintain cost control and monitor project budgets and variations.
- Prepare cost estimates, tender documents and rate analysis.
- Coordinate with engineers, detailers and procurement on material requirements and pricing.
- Use MS Excel and quantity surveying tools to produce reports and schedules.
- Assist in site measurements, progress valuation and payment certification.
- Support procurement with material take-offs and supplier comparisons.
What we’re looking for
Must-have skills and tools:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience.
- Minimum ~3 years experience in quantity surveying for steel structure projects.
- Strong knowledge of BOQs, cost management and structural drawings.
- High proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying tools.
- Accurate measurement, estimating and rate analysis skills.
