What you’ll be doing
The Educators is seeking an experienced Mathematics Teacher to deliver classroom instruction for grades VIII, IX and X. Responsibilities include planning and delivering clear, engaging lessons aligned to the prescribed syllabus and examinations; designing lesson plans, worksheets, tests and revision materials; assessing and monitoring student progress through formative and summative assessments and maintaining accurate records; differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs including remedial and extension activities; preparing students for departmental and board examinations with practice tests and revision sessions; maintaining a positive, well-managed classroom and implementing school discipline and safety policies; and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.
What we’re looking for
- Must-have:
Strong subject knowledge in secondary mathematics: algebra, geometry, trigonometry, mensuration and basic calculus concepts as applicable to grades VIII–X.
Proven classroom management skills for groups of 20–40 students.
Ability to design lesson plans, worksheets, tests and revision materials aligned to local examination formats.
Competence in assessing student work, recording grades and using assessment data to inform instruction.
Good communication skills for instruction, parent engagement and teamwork.
Familiarity with teaching aids and basic digital literacy (whiteboard, projector, preparing resources). - Preferred:
B.Ed or relevant teaching certification; experience preparing students for board examinations; commitment to student-centred teaching and professional development.
