We are recruiting international defence observers with independent analytical capabilities. The role focuses on security developments in South Asia, West Asia and the Indian Ocean region.
Responsibilities
- Track military movements, evolving defence policies, arms procurement, geopolitical conflicts and defence cooperation trends.
- Produce objective, in-depth defence analysis briefings to support institutional strategic assessment and consulting projects.
- Consolidate open-source information across languages and distinguish propaganda from factual information.

What we’re looking for
- Geopolitical analysis across South Asia, West Asia and the Indian Ocean, including security dynamics, geopolitical rivalries, border disputes and strategic trends.
- Multi-source information collection, source tracing, and verification of official propaganda, disinformation and factual data.
- Defence domain knowledge covering military order of battle, armament systems, defence budgets, arms trade, military exercises, base deployments and military-industrial development.
- Professional analytical writing for objective, logically structured briefings and thematic assessment reports.
