What you’ll be doing
Murree Rehab Centre in Rawalpindi provides structured treatment and recovery support for individuals experiencing Substance Use Disorder. We are seeking a Psychologist to contribute to assessment, counseling, therapeutic planning, and long-term recovery-focused care within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate empathy, sound clinical judgment, professional boundaries, and a commitment to respectful, recovery-oriented care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments, interviews, mental status examinations, and risk evaluations for clients with substance use and related mental health concerns.
- Develop individualized treatment goals and contribute to recovery plans in coordination with medical, clinical, and support staff.
- Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-informed approaches appropriate for addiction recovery.
- Support relapse-prevention planning, motivation enhancement, emotional regulation, and behavioral change.
- Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records and document assessments, progress, interventions, and discharge recommendations.
- Participate in case reviews, family guidance sessions, psychoeducation activities, and continuing care planning.
- Monitor client progress and communicate significant clinical observations or safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate team members.

What we’re looking for
- Strong knowledge of Substance Use Disorder, addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Competence in psychological interviewing, assessment, case formulation, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
- Ability to deliver individual counseling, group therapy, psychoeducation, and motivational interventions.
- Familiarity with cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented practices.
- Clear communication and active listening skills for working with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, ethical standards, and accurate client records.
- Calm, compassionate, culturally sensitive approach with strong observation, crisis recognition, and referral skills.
- Proficiency in standard office and electronic documentation tools is desirable.
