What you’ll be doing
Responsibilities
- Support the accurate, secure, and efficient movement of business data across platforms and systems.
- Analyze source and target systems, data structures, fields, dependencies, and migration constraints.
- Develop migration plans, mapping documents, transformation rules, validation procedures, and implementation schedules.
- Extract, cleanse, transform, reconcile, and load data while maintaining accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify data quality issues, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
- Perform testing, validation, user acceptance support, cutover activities, and post-migration checks.
- Prepare technical documentation, progress updates, risk logs, and handover materials.
- Collaborate with project teams and client stakeholders to understand migration requirements and deliver reliable results with minimal operational disruption.
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on experience with data migration, ETL processes, database operations, or systems integration.
- Strong SQL skills for querying, profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation.
- Understanding of relational databases, data models, schemas, APIs, file formats, and data governance principles.
- Ability to create source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, test cases, and migration documentation.
- Experience identifying duplicates, missing values, inconsistent formats, and other data quality problems.
- Familiarity with Excel and at least one ETL, scripting, cloud, or database migration tool.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, protect confidential information, and work effectively with distributed project teams.
