- EducationBSc Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. An engineering degree in Polymer/Plastic Technology, Chemical, Mechanical or related discipline is preferred.
What you’ll be doing
Key Result Areas
OEE & Production Efficiency: Improve machine availability, performance, throughput and overall equipment effectiveness.
Production Targets: Consistently achieve daily, monthly and annual production targets.
Wastage Reduction: Identify root causes and implement measurable initiatives to reduce material, trim, setup and process wastage.
New Development: Innovate new PE structure recipes to meet customer specifications while optimizing existing recipes for improved performance.
5S: Establish and sustain 5S standards across extrusion, slitting and lamination areas.
Kaizen: Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality and cost reduction.
Lean Manufacturing: Eliminate non-value-added activities and improve process flow and resource utilization.
Cost Optimization: Optimize material consumption, machine utilization, manpower productivity and manufacturing costs.
Quality & Process Control: Ensure stable processes and consistent product quality through effective parameter and process control.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage extrusion, slitting and lamination operations to achieve production, quality and efficiency targets.
- Monitor and improve OEE, throughput, downtime, yield, rejection and machine utilization.
- Establish production KPIs and use data to identify performance gaps.
What we’re looking for
Candidate Profile
- 7–10 years of relevant manufacturing experience, with significant experience in a Production Manager or managerial role.
- Mandatory experience in the plastic manufacturing industry, preferably flexible packaging.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of extrusion, slitting and lamination.
- Good understanding of polymers/resins, melting points, adhesives, bonding and chemicals.
- Demonstrated success in improving OEE, production efficiency, yield and machine utilization.
- Proven track record of wastage reduction and material cost optimization.
- Strong knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean and continuous improvement.
- Highly metric-driven and analytical, with the ability to manage operations through measurable KPIs.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause-analysis skills.
