What you’ll be doing
Awami Traders is a Rawalpindi-based trading and solution provider serving Pakistan’s advertising industry with imported indoor and outdoor advertising materials and machinery. Our product range includes panaflex machines, sublimation printers, large-format printers, laminators, laser machines, and CNC engravers. We are seeking a Helper Technician to support our technical team in equipment handling, installation assistance, routine maintenance, and customer service activities.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with installation, setup, testing, and basic servicing of printing, cutting, engraving, and laminating machinery.
- Prepare tools, materials, cables, components, and work areas before technical assignments.
- Support equipment loading, unloading, positioning, cleaning, and safe handling at the workshop or customer location.
- Observe machine operation and report unusual sounds, errors, damage, or performance issues to the senior technician.
- Follow instructions, safety procedures, and preventive maintenance checklists.
- Maintain organized tools, service records, spare parts, and job-site cleanliness.
- Provide courteous assistance to customers and coordinate effectively with technicians and the sales team.
What we’re looking for
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electronic tools and components.
- Ability to assist with machinery installation, alignment, cleaning, inspection, and routine maintenance.
- Comfort with lifting, moving, and safely handling equipment, tools, and consumable materials.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, checklists, workplace safety standards, and supervisor directions accurately.
- Good observation skills for identifying machine errors, loose connections, unusual noise, or visible damage.
- Willingness to learn about large-format printers, sublimation printers, laminators, laser machines, CNC engravers, and related equipment.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, teamwork, physical stamina, and a service-oriented attitude.
- Basic communication and record-keeping skills for reporting completed work and issues.
