What you’ll be doing
Orbilect Labs is a global software development and product engineering company based in Karachi, helping startups, scale-ups, and enterprises transform ambitious ideas into digital products. We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the development of polished, reliable, and high-performing web interfaces. You will work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to turn requirements into maintainable user experiences.
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive frontend applications using modern web technologies.
- Translate UI/UX designs and product requirements into reusable, accessible, and scalable components.
- Establish frontend architecture, coding standards, testing practices, and performance improvements.
- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and deliver secure, dependable features.
- Review code, mentor engineers, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to technical decisions.
- Monitor browser compatibility, accessibility, responsiveness, and application performance across devices.
What we’re looking for
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design, accessibility, and browser compatibility.
- Experience building reusable component systems and scalable frontend architecture.
- Practical expertise integrating RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous data flows.
- Proficiency with Git, code review workflows, package management, and frontend build tools.
- Ability to write unit, integration, or end-to-end tests and apply debugging techniques.
- Understanding of web performance optimization, security fundamentals, and clean coding practices.
- Strong collaboration, technical communication, mentoring, and problem-solving abilities.
