As we scale our product catalogs and automate our multi-channel pipelines, protecting our digital assets and safeguarding our storefronts against platform violations is critical to our growth.

The Role
We are looking for an analytical, tech-driven Legal & Trademark Intern with an IT / Computer Science background to bridge the gap between platform algorithms, intellectual property compliance, and marketplace violation resolution.
As a Legal & Trademark Intern, you will leverage your technical acumen and data analytical skills to detect, audit, and systematically resolve marketplace policy violations, intellectual property flags, and listing suppressions across our global storefronts. Working directly with operations and management, you will analyze listing metadata, track platform compliance logic, and formulate structured appeals and Plans of Action (POAs).

Key Responsibilities

• Violation Detection & Account Health Diagnostics: Monitor seller performance portals and account health dashboards on Amazon, eBay, and Etsy to detect restricted product flags, suppressed listings, and policy defects.
• Use data filtering, regular expressions, and spreadsheet formulas to audit bulk catalog feeds, titles, tags, and backend keywords against restricted keyword registries.
• IP & Trademark Infringement Handling: Review inbound IP complaints (trademark misuse, copyright, counterfeit, design rights) and extract pertinent case details, ASINs, and complainant metadata.
• Assist management in drafting clear, structured counter-notices, non-infringement justifications, or retraction requests to rights owners and marketplace trust & safety teams.
• Algorithmic Risk Screening & Listing Sanitization: Conduct pre-listing metadata audits on product descriptions, variation matrices, and image assets to proactively prevent automated trigger words and algorithmic suspensions.
• Identify patterns in automated platform rejections to propose rule-based logic updates for listing workflows.
• Drafting Structured Appeals & Plans of Action (POAs): Investigate the technical root cause of listing flags (e.g., miscategorization, keyword scraping flags, or brand misattribution).
• Assist in writing precise, fact-based Plan of Action (POA) documentation breaking down the root cause, immediate remediation, and system-level preventative measures.
• Tracking & Workflow Documentation: Maintain centralized violation tracking logs, recording case IDs, platform response times, and resolution outcomes across channels.
• Compile weekly metrics on violation trends and policy changes to support continuous listing improvements.

Who We Are Looking For
Education: Current student or recent graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related tech/computational disciplines.

Technical & Analytical Competencies

• Data Handling: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (advanced filtering, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, text-parsing functions, pivot tables).
• Pattern Recognition: Ability to parse policy guidelines, spot pattern-matching errors in marketplace algorithms, and systematically inspect structured metadata.
• Written Communication: Clear, professional, and logically structured English writing skills suitable for drafting formal appeals, ticket escalations, and technical documentation.
• Tech Savviness: Familiarity with digital workflows, e-commerce backend portals, web inspection tools, or basic scripting/automation logic is a strong plus.
