This position serves as the support for educational reporting in South Region; also supports the data collection functions with South Schools.
The position provides support relative to the maintenance, collection and editing of data required by the Central Educational Management Information systems and other application computer systems maintained by the Student Affair Officers based in Schools.
- Analyze data and problem solve systematically
- Develop data queries to determine completeness and accuracy of reported data
- Knowledge of basic principles of relational database design
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, SQL or other data management techniques
- Use of any new technology that is adopted as part of new application software
- Ability to become thoroughly knowledgeable of the features and functions of assigned application software systems
- Ability to perform technical and analytical duties as assigned
- Initiative and ability to work independent of supervision
- Assist in data analysis, collection, editing, auditing and reporting
- Resolves data reporting issues by working with district departments and external education agencies
- Assist in the planning and coordination of the collection of EMIS information
- Develops standard operating procedures concerning the gathering, reporting and storage of EMIS data
- Serves as a subject matter expert on EMIS reporting requirements
- Maintains information about Key Performance Indictor
- All other duties as assigned
