Officer Careers & Alumni provides information, advice and guidance to help people make realistic choices about their education, training and work.
They may deal with a range of people, from school children over the age of 17 up to adults who may want a career change or need help with further training and can help to identify options for suitable careers, build CVs, identify skills gaps, advise on where to search for jobs and help with the application, and locate relevant training courses.
Officer Careers & Alumni is responsible for bringing current students into the alumni community, so a lot of promotion work is involved, the incumbent is largely responsible about communication with alumni, current and expected students.

The role is set up to keep alumni connected to each other and the institute, encourage and promote the professional development of alumni on an individual level, and to keep the alumni community aware of the institute’s developments and needs, including fundraising opportunities and achievements.
